They arrested Don Omar!

Clearly there is something seriously wrong with this nation, or maybe they're just taking this anti-corruption thing a little too far:

Don Omar, who was supposed to perform last night, was arrested in Santa Cruz yesterday morning for fraud. They used the word 'estafa' here, which my dictionary says means swindle.

Apparently the Don was supposed to perform in La Paz last year but the concert was canceled first due to protests and then because no one sent him a airplane ticket to Bolivia, thus 'swindling' the promoters out of $70,000. The hilarious part is that by arresting him, they prevented him from performing AGAIN.

I just hope they reschedule the show for a time I can actually make it out to Santa Cruz and they send him a ticket and there aren't any protests...
