Today was a good day.

Like Ice Cube said, "Today was a good day."

A. I got a place to live. Uh, its hard to comprehend $60 a month rent (and thats at the inflated gringo rate).

B. I found a bilingual library with books in English.

C. Rumsfield resigned.

D. I can find my way around the city. The giant statue of Jesus to the east helps a bit but I'm starting to actually understand the layout of Cochabamba.

E. I avoided eating the dish, which no matter what I order is inevitably brought to me, that consists of a slab of fried beef on a bed of potatoes and rice with a fried egg on top. I've ordered 3 different dishes in 3 different restaurants and been served the exact same thing. Its amusing.

F. I'm going to the jungle tomarrow armed with deet and shades.

Sounds like you're having fun adventures. I never did get to go to la selva or Cochabamba. And the library with English books--wow! That would have been so awesome! Any good reads lately? Have you started eating meat again?
