School district 186 in Springfield, Illinois didn't offer any geography classes. No teacher at my catholic high school ever broke out a map. Not until I moved to Colorado was I shoved into a lecture hall with 499 other students to talk geography. And even that class was the touchy-feely culture side of the discipline with very little discussion of a physical sense of place.

So I understand when folks give me a blank stare when I say I'm going to Bolivia. Here are a few maps to help.
