My new instrument

Do you hear the whiny, high-pitched flutey thing? I'm gonna get me one of those real soon. That's not a threat, its a new artistic endeavor.




This video is from outside the stadium when Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales spoke last Saturday. The musicians are exiting the stadium and those police in the background, well some of them were bobbing their heads and smiling. I saw a few of the police inside the stadium swinging their metal beating-sticks in the air, in time with the marching band from Oruro. The marching band was sitting directly behind the stage and decided to start playing a robust march, even though there was an amplified rock-n-roll band playing on the stage. Nobody seemed to find this battle of the bands odd except for me.
